Lesson 2 & 3 – Research information from focus questions (Books & Internet).
- Lesson 2 - Book research: I would borrow relevant books from our school library so students can conduct their initial research in lesson 2 in our normal classroom. I'm sure your own school will have a selection of books you can use. However, I have listed below a few books I found useful for this project.
- Lesson 3 - Internet research: For lesson 3 I would book the computer lab so students can access some of the suggested websites to find more information and images for their selected subject area.
- Lesson 2 & 3 would conclude with a whole class whiteboard activity (see suggested electronic whiteboard resources below) to consolidate our learning about Ancient Rome and to give students the opportunity to share their knowledge and understanding with their peers.

Assessment
Students will use a marking rubric to assess each others PowerPoint presentation and quiz questions. If we have the time, we would develop the marking rubric as a class activity. Otherwise I would pre-prepare a marking rubric
- No resources - have students upload their PowerPoint files to a shared drive that you can access from the computer connected to the Smartboard or to a Dropbox or Evernote folder put them on a USB key.
